Giving Back With Ashley’s Hope

Lake Ave Recovery recently had the honor of working with Marybeth Kalil and learning the story behind Ashley’s Hope. Ashley’s Hope was created in remembrance of Marybeth’s beloved daughter, Ashley Kalil, who lost her battle with substance abuse in July 2020 at the age of 33. The impact Ashley left behind is unmeasurable and one that can truly not be forgotten. She was a loyal companion, cherished daughter, loving sister and doting aunt. She enjoyed spending time with friends as well as the thrill of riding motorcycles with her boyfriend, Brandon. Ashley’s presence brightened any room she entered. She was smart, funny and compassionate. Her welcoming demeanor led her towards a career in hospitality in which she thrived.

Anyone who knew Ashley well would note that the holidays were a particularly joyous time for her and this year Marybeth intends on bringing that same joy to those in need. In Ashley’s honor and in the name of the Ashley’s Hope, Marybeth has generously collected a plethora of gifts, including gloves, blankets, stationary, wrapping paper, hygiene products and a number of other thoughtful items to be distributed among local sober homes and individuals who are in need of additional support during these unprecedented times. Any funds collected by Ashley’s Hope will also be used to support those in early recovery, to help ensure they receive the treatment and support they deserve. Marybeth’s tremendous generosity is a blessing to a community that relies on the support and kindness of others. Ashley’s legacy will live on with honor.
