About Erica Eckensberger
Erica comes to Lake Ave. Recovery bringing a myriad of experience of working with many different populations over her years of practice as a clinician. Her experience includes working in mental health and dual diagnoses, including Home-base, Outpatient, Intensive Outpatient, and Residential. Her specialties include working one on one with the LGBTQ population and providing advocacy, providing grief counseling, and helping others connect with their spirituality. Erica received her bachelor’s degree in Social Work from Indiana University and her Master of Divinity from Christian Theological Seminary. Erica appreciates taking an holistic approach whenever possible. She believes the heart of recovery encompasses all parts of us – mind, body, and spirit – as humans and that being inclusive of all these parts only makes us stronger as individuals. Erica brings a passion for all types of spiritual practice and feels that all practices bring with them truth that can be tapped into to bring enlightenment. During her free time, Erica mostly enjoys the outdoors, painting, and crafting. She also enjoys hanging out with her rescue dog Prince, partner, and her family.
